Meet Our Team

  • Michael & Celeste Peters

    FOUNDERS & EXECUTIVE DIRECTORS

Michael and Celeste have been married since 1992 and have each been engaged in missions activities long before meeting and marrying. Celeste was born on the mission field to missionary parents working in Cuba. Missions has been an integral part of their lives and the lives of their 3 children since the time they were all very young.

Michael received his law degree and established his law practice as a means of supporting his family, but always with the objective of creating opportunities for them to remain active in short-term missions activities.

Celeste’s passions lie in being a mom to their three daughters, as well as a Marriage and Family Therapist, earning her Master’s Degree and ministering in private practice for over 3 decades.

After more than a 15-year relationship with a Chiapas orphanage, they recognized the need to create a safe, nurturing, family environment for the girls who had outgrown the orphanage setting, but needed more time, training, and personalized mentoring before they were prepared to assume the responsibilities and challenges of independence and life on their own. This was the need that Reina’s Hope was created to fill.

  • Estefania Moreno

    PROGRAM DIRECTOR

As a psychologist, she has worked with young women in shelters for many years. Estefania’s objective and all of Reina’s Hope’s programs are designed with the intention to restore a sense of self-worth and instill hope in these young women. To help them see themselves as God sees them, His precious daughters, worthy of self respect, created by God and endowed with priceless value.

She loves running, hiking, and traveling! In 2023, Estefania traveled through Europe, and it was amazing. The next place she hopes to visit is Peru.

Estefania grew up in Chiapas. Her dad is a veterinarian, and her mom is a lawyer and social worker. She is the middle of 6 siblings.

Estefania believes in putting faith in everything we do and knows that things will work according to the purpose of God. She loves her job and is so grateful for the opportunity to work with Reina’s Hope. She believes we can help make a better world with faith, love, hard work, and most importantly, by putting the Lord first in everything.

  • Arturo Lopez Deleon

    RANCH MANAGER

In a word, Arturo is our “Godsend.” Arturo was born and raised in Margaritas. He is married to a wonderful woman, Lourdes, and they are raising their 3 beautiful teenage daughters.

Arturo lives full time on the ranch and speaks of it and considers it as his own. No one could care for this land and our animals any better than the way Arturo does.

For his entire life he has been trained and is remarkably experienced in every aspect of agricultural production and animal husbandry. He worked this land for nearly a decade before we acquired it, and his love for Aguas Sagradas is only surpassed by his sincere love for for the Lord and his dependence on His faithfulness.

We could not imagine managing this ranch without him, and he is a constant voice of encouragement to us. “Be calm Migue” (Michael), and “Everything is in the Lord’s hands Hermana Celeste” are his frequent words of reassurance to us.
