If it isn't obvious from our ministry name, Reina has been the inspiration for Reina's Hope. We realized that by providing a bit of encouragement, a lot of love, and just enough discipline we watched her thrive and achieve some very impressive life goals. That's when we realized that if we could do that for this one, why couldn't we do it for many? From that inspiration, Reina's Hope was conceived and Reina has become an integral part of the staff and ministry to our girls.
Having also come from a history of abandonment and growing up in an orphanage setting, she is able to relate and speak into our girls in ways that no one else can. They love and respect her. She is able to be the disciplinarian and loving enforcer of the rules and regulations of Reina's Hope. But is equally engaged with them in laughter, games and just doing "girl things" together with them.
Frequently we recognize how God had been working out a plan for years to bring Reina's Hope into being. Certainly it began when we first met Reina at the Casa Hogar Orphanage those many years ago and connected in some very special ways and adopted her into our family. Little did we know what an integral role she would play in bringing about the vision and ministry that Reina's Hope has become. No one can replace her with all of the skills, insights, experience, dedication, love and laughter that she adds every single day.
Como el nombre de nuestro ministerio sugiere, Reina ha sido la inspiración de Reina’s Hope. Observamos que, al brindarle un poco de ánimo, mucho amor y la dosis justa de disciplina, ella prosperó y alcanzó metas verdaderamente impresionantes. Fue entonces cuando nos dimos cuenta de que, si podíamos lograr eso con ella, ¿por qué no hacerlo con muchas otras? Así nació Reina’s Hope, y Reina se ha convertido en una pieza fundamental de nuestro equipo y del ministerio dirigido a las jóvenes.
Al haber vivido también el abandono y haberse criado en un orfanato, ella logra conectar con nuestras jóvenes y aconsejarlas de una manera única que nadie más puede igualar. Ellas la quieren y la respetan. Reina sabe imponer disciplina y hacer cumplir las normas de Reina’s Hope con firmeza y amor, pero también comparte con ellas risas, juegos y esos momentos típicos de chicas.
A menudo reconocemos cómo Dios estaba preparando el camino tras los años para hacer realidad Reina’s Hope. Todo comenzó, sin duda, cuando conocimos a Reina en el orfanato Casa Hogar hace tanto tiempo; conectamos de una manera muy especial y la acogimos en nuestra familia. Entonces no imaginábamos el papel tan crucial que ella desempeñaría para materializar la visión y el ministerio en los que se ha convertido Reina’s Hope. Nadie puede reemplazarla ni sustituir las habilidades, la perspectiva, la experiencia, la dedicación, el amor y la alegría que ella aporta cada día.
