Sixteen Candles. A Life Reclaimed.

Dear Friend,

This month, a special milestone was celebrated here at Reina’s Hope. One of our girls, Abril, turned 16. As we watched her blow out her candles, surrounded by friends and laughing with a genuine, bright smile, it was hard to remember the girl who first walked through our gates and into our family almost two years ago.

When Abril arrived, she was like a dark shadow. She was cold, closed off, and deeply depressed. The weight of her past abuse had left her feeling there was no hope, no way out. She came to us in the grip of suicidal depression. She didn't just feel alone; she felt hopeless.

Through the unwavering love of the Lord, the dedicated care and mentoring of our staff, and the partnership of donors like you, the walls around her heart have crumbled. The girl who once refused to make eye contact is now known by everyone here as:

Sweet and Helpful: She is always ready to volunteer when a peer needs a hand or chores need to be done.

Respectful: She is gracious and, with a newfound dignity, greets you with her bright, cheerful eyes and smile.

Deeply Grateful: She no longer takes a single day for granted. Her prayers are genuine and filled with gratitude.

Your support provided the counseling, the safe bed, and the Christ-centered environment that allowed her to heal. You were the hands and feet of Jesus for Abril when she was at her lowest.

As we look toward the next year of her journey, would you consider a special birthday gift to help us reach more at-risk young girls who arrive just like Abril did?

With deep gratitude… Until they all come HOME,
