God brought Angie home—and you helped open the door
Friend,
We are excited to share another profound moment of hope and transition, made possible by your faithful generosity. At Reina's Hope, we believe that the plan of God is for every girl to benefit from a loving home in a safe, family environment—a belief that was miraculously realized this week with the arrival of our newest resident, Angie.
For 12 long years, Angie lived within the confines of a government institution. Her world was structured, limited, and entirely without personal space or familial warmth. This environment was all she had known as "home."
For 12 long years, Angie lived within the confines of a government institution. Her world was structured, limited, and entirely without personal space or familial warmth. This environment was all she had known as "home."
The day we arrived at the institution in Tuxtla to pick her up was filled with a mix of apprehension and anticipation. Angie was noticeably nervous as we helped her pack her worldly possessions into a small red suitcase and black trash bags, then began the 3 ½-hour trek to her new life in Las Margaritas.
The moment we pulled into the driveway of Reina's Hope, everything changed.
Angie wasn't just arriving to a new city; she was arriving home. She was introduced to her new sisters: Miriam, Flori, Abril, and Janeth, who greeted her with open arms and excited smiles.
But the most moving moment was yet to come. With, perhaps a bit of disbelief, but with a huge smile, Angie took in her very own new room.
This moment—this transition from an institution to a family, from shared space to a private sanctuary—is the direct result of your support. You provide the foundation for these new beginnings, and the hope and the future it represents for Angie and others.
Your partnership funds the daily operations; the meals, education, psychological and spiritual care, and most importantly, the sense of love, security, and belonging that allows individuals like Angie to thrive.
As Angie settles in and begins to adjust to the rhythms of family life, we will continue to walk alongside her and the many others that the Lord has destined to be a part of our Reina’s Hope family.
With gratitude… until they all come HOME,
